Like many people around the world I’ve been watching the Olympic events in Bejing and rooting for fellow Iowan Shawn Johnson.  Congratulations to her!

Colleen Francis in a recent post asks a few questions to help you understand why they didn’t buy.  Knowing yourself understanding how you respond and why is critical.  Where you place your focus will determine your success or failure.

All too often you’re ready to jump all over yourself for what you don’t do well.  You focus on your areas of weakness and try to correct those areas.  While this seems logical it isn’t.

You know I’m all of 5 foot 2 inches if I stretch a little.  You have to set a stake to tell if I’m running.  No matter how much I practice I will never ever be a racer.  So why would I want to focus on that when there are others things I naturally do well and do far better than most people.

The key to increasing your sales is identifying those things you do that work.  Then focusing on those things determining how you can do those things more often and more consistently.  Challenging yourself to discover if you can make tiny improvements in how you do those things that would have a dramatic impact on your results.

Shawn  Johnson like all Olympic athletes practices the things she excels at over and over again finding little ways to make subtle improvements in how she does those things.  Follow the lead of top producers in all areas of life and increase your sales by moving from good to great in your sales success.
